Rap showdown at the church New Year's lock-in

This went down between Zach (former high schooler) who goes to North Central Bible College and some other guy who blow your minds and bless your hearts. I truly believe that every word that came from his mouth was God-breathed.

Visitation of an old haunt

So I went to the obligatory visit to my old alma mater every year for the school Christmas music program and I just stared in amazement at how much the place has changed. The gym is pretty much the same with a touch of paint here and there, but there subtle and blatant differences. The cafeteria is closed in now and they tore down the old school office which would give the students more privacy while eating. Not too many of the teachers that were there when I attended are still there. The history/govt. teacher is still there (probably a lifer from the looks of it). My high school principal is now the superintendent of the school. It kind of brings back memories and then some I would like to forget. Ah, to be that age again...NOT!

Crazy idea for a paintball arena

This past week before leaving work I watch Fox 6 to check on the weather for that day and came across this place in Osceola County in Florida that has different themed paintball events one of which was a zombie hunt. So, check out this place and see the different themes. They have actors come in and play the part of zombie and yes they wear NO padding or protective gear except for a cheap zombie mask. Very ballsy.

Reclaiming The Blade

I came across an interesting movie trailer on apple.com and then went on iTunes to download. It is called "Reclaiming The Blade" and it's a documentary about swords created between the Medieval and Renaissance periods and the mystery and legends that surround them. Imagine if you will, that these swords were the martial arts of this period. This film features a narration by John Rhys Davies (Gimli from the Lord Of The Rings films or Sallah from the Indiana Jones films) and features interviews with Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn), Karl Urban (Eomer), John Howe (artist for LOTR) and Bob Anderson (who trained most of the actors on LOTR and trained both David Prowse and Mark Hamill in the Star Wars films). Enjoy the trailer, I know, I did.

Am I disappointed? Yes. Time to move forward? Yes. Do I have to like? NO

So, for many of those who had watched the election craze for the past year and a half and voted this past Tuesday were certainly not shocked and surprised to see Obama win. He has this deceptively good charm that people seem to enjoy, more so when Clinton was in office. Yeah, I'm disappointed that my candidate didn't win and that some comments I made that Obama is the Anti-christ I want to retract. I'm being a man about it and hope that he doesn't screw up this country anymore than it is already. God knows what the outcome will be and that I have to trust in Him that definately has all this in control. Hats off to you, Barack, for being the first African-American in the Oval Office. But for pity's sake, don't screw things up!
